How to get to Villa Cielomar on St. John, U.S.V.I.
Getting to St. John is very easy, even though we have no airport.
- Fly to St. Thomas airport (STT). There is only one airport on the island.
- Take a taxi to one of the ferry terminals, either Charlotte Amalie or Redhook.
- Take a ferry ride to Cruz Bay, St. John.
If you prefer a short taxi ride (10 min.) and a long ferry (45 min.), take the taxi to Charlotte Amalie (also called “downtown”). The taxi will cost approximately $5 per person plus $1 per bag, and the ferry rate is $10 per person. Ferries leave Charlotte Amalie for Cruz Bay at :
- 9:00 and 11:00 AM, and 1:00, 3:00, 4:00, and 5:30 PM.
If you prefer a longer taxi ride (35-40 min.) and a shorter ferry (15 min.), take the taxi to Red Hook. The taxi will costapproximately $9 per person plus $1 per bag, and the ferry rate is $5 per person. Ferries leave Red Hook for Cruz Bay every hour on the hour, starting at 8:00 AM and continuing until the last boat at midnight. (All prices are subject to change – check with us for the most recent information)
Note: The taxi fares are regulated, so you will not be over-charged. If there are more than two people in the taxi, the fare from the airport to Red Hook is $9 per person, plus $1 per bag. A tip is very welcome, but not required.
Once you arrive, we provide everything you need for a perfect vacation, including beach towels and chairs, and a cooler. We meet you at the Cruz Bay dock, and escort you to Villa Cielomar, where a welcome basket with wine, fresh bread, and fruits awaits you. All you need to do is bring snorkel equipment and suntan lotion, and enjoy our beautiful island.
